PowerPac not visible on Toolbook menu

This did happen once before but I can't recall the fix.

In this case it is flagged for .dhtml export. Could you direct me to the download site and I'll re-install

Thanks for this. (It does say I have an extension of 9 days on my trial period however) and I still can't get the menu to show even after closing and opening any Toolbooks. Would a reboot help? I had an IT guy in my classroom this morning ... can you suggest something that he might have fiddled with that would cause it not to show?

Only a guess, but the changes to your development machine may have changed some privileges and this has affected registration of some of the software on the computer. An extended trial period suggests that the PowerPac registration is no longer readable when you load ToolBook. You really need to find out what changed when the IT worked on your computer.

Okay, I'm grasping at straws here. IT chap swears all he did was install VLC video player ... can't imagine that having any impact on the PowerPac. So strange how it suddenly vanished from within Toolbook. Any chance you could link to perhaps another installation file?

The link posted earlier in this thread is the latest version. The menu is showing fine in our ToolBook v9 tests. You may want to try uninstalling the PowerPac and then reinstall it and see if that helps.

Make any difference that the machine is Windows 8? I did uninstall/reinstall ... Says its installed but never turns up in the .dhtml Toolbook. Any other thing I might try? So strange ... its been working for a year or two and then "poof" its gone.

To troubleshoot this:

Open a Command Window (View menu > Command Window) and type:
    request sysbooks (then press enter)
In the window that opens, look for the PGSD_PowerPacXXX.sbk authoring book.
It should be the first item in the list as shown below. If it is not in the list at all or it is not the first item, then the PowerPac installation is somehow messed up.

If the PowerPac authoring book is shown, then type this in the Command Window:
    request ASYM_DeploymentMethod of this book (then press enter)
The result should be the string "HTML"
If it is not, then type:
    ASYM_DeploymentMethod of this book = "HTML" (then press enter)
Then save the book, exit ToolBook and open the book. Does the PowerPac menu appear now?
