Error on export

Postby Robert Stevenson » Mon Jun 13, 2016 3:48 pm

I get a message that I recall seeing years ago but I can't recall what is generating it. When I export the randomized quiz I get the error message "Unexpected error Invalid element "group" in content question, expected [Action, Annotation, etc]. Anyone have any ideas? A solution?

Examine the error.log file as this will indicate the page id and object id that generated the error.
Then navigate to that page and locate the object that is throwing the error.
In most cases, these errors arise from deleting an object which is still referenced by another one.

All I get in the log is

Started Export
Book "C:\Working\INSTRUCT\Books\MINV\arthropoda\arthropoda_random.tbk"
6/13/2016 - 2:02:02 PM
- 2:05:15 PM --TBK -> AXF conversion complete
- 2:05:48 PM --AXF to DHTML conversion failed. AXF compiler error code: -2

I seem to recall something in the past when you might have mentioned the possibility of having the question objects as part of a group might do this ... at the moment I am stumped.

Apparently, the log is not being very specific.

Troubleshoot by exporting a subset of pages until you find the subset that throws the error. This should narrow down which page is producing the error.

An AXF compiler error is pretty high up the food chain in ToolBook and means the book may even have internal corruption and may need to be repaired.
