Limiting time for questions

Still using version 9.01 ... still using question widgets ... but recall you mentioning that the timers that come right out of the catalog are not useful and that the PowerPac had alternatives. Could you point me to where I might find these?

Depending on what you need to do, the timers for the questions widget may in fact work just fine.
For more advanced stuff, the PowerPac has its own timer function called pgTimer(). Basically, you tell the function how long before a timeout should occur and specify which object should receive the user event when the time out occurs.

If there is some specific thing you are trying to do, then you are welcome to post more information so we can evaluate a possible approach.

Thanks. I'm simply using catalog widgets for a randomized quiz ... in the past I have had issues with the graphics for the timers being messed up after export. But I'll give it a shot.

What widgets are those, Robert?
Sausage lovers should consider using sausage stuffers asap.
