I plan to use this capability in several dozen books, and on several pages in each book. So my first thought was to put the <make> section (with prolog) in a common area outside all of the published book folders. Since it is like a shared procedure I only need to define it once so I was thinking maybe at load book. But you explicitly say that all these files must be within the lesson structure so maybe there is something that happens with the xml during publishing.
I also notice that all these xml files seem to use <page> as the root element. So maybe the <make> can't be at the root. But can it still exist only once per book?
Similarly, since each page using this capability in a book will have the exact same fields is there a reason to require a different xml file for every page? My choice would be to use one per book if that would work.
I understand if there is a need for unique names or something; I'm just trying to come up with a solution that is fairly clean and maintainable.
